Troubleshooting
Motors not powering up.
If the Shopmaster mill motors aren’t moving when the jog button is pressed do the following.
Disengage the physical E-stop button.
Set Mode to Mill
Set Spindle Power to On
Set CNC Power to On
Set Stepper Motors to On
Turn on Computer,
Startup up Mach3mill
Click the reset button
Verify that the jogging button is green
Verify that it clears the E-stop message
Press the arrow keys on the keyboard and see if the stepper motors move.
If the motors still don’t move that means it is not communicating with the computer or is not getting power. There is a small switch on the Gecko marked CHARGE PUMP- be sure this is in the OFF position. Also be sure all your cables are connected to the Gecko solidly and secured with the screws and also be sure your DB25 cable is also securely connected to the computer. If all that is good, open the end panel and look at the power supply- it should have a green light .
